From persecutor to apostle, planting churches, writing Scripture, enduring shipwrecks and prisons with joy—because he lived submitted. He testified, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). That is the thrill of submission: Christ living powerfully through us!
Contrast this with lives marred by resistance. King Saul’s partial obedience cost him everything (1 Samuel 15:22-23). In trials, it births testimonies that glorify God. Job, stripped of everything, declared, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). His submission turned ashes into double blessing.
Spiritually, submission is our mightiest weapon. James links it directly to victory over Satan: Submit to God—resist the devil—he flees! When we exalt God, demonic forces tremble. I’ve seen addicts delivered, marriages restored, depressed souls ignited with hope—all because someone dared to surrender fully. Smith Wigglesworth, the great healing evangelist, lived so submitted that he raised the dead and saw miracles daily. His secret? Absolute surrender.

1. Begin each morning with a surrender prayer. Kneel (literally if possible) and declare: “Lord, I submit my day, my thoughts, my plans to You. Reign in me today.”
2. Feast on God’s Word daily. Let verses about His faithfulness wash over you. Memorize Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
3. Practice the “yes” habit. Every time the Spirit prompts—forgive, give, serve, speak truth—say yes immediately. Small yeses build mountain-moving faith.
4. Worship through storms. When circumstances scream “No,” lift hands and sing. Worship is warfare that realigns your heart with heaven.
5. Journal your surrender stories. Record times God proved faithful when you yielded. Re-reading them will strengthen you for future battles.

On Calvary, Jesus cried, “It is finished!” The veil tore. Access granted. Now, by faith, we are hidden in Christ—fully forgiven, fully accepted, fully empowered.
Submission is no longer duty; it is dancing in grace. We yield because He yielded all. We trust because He proved trustworthy.
