TWGN DEVOTION 

Scripture: Luke 6:38 (AMP)

[38] Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

Devotion:

Generosity this is the key to overflow favor and abundance.

Scripture repeatedly links generosity with divine favor. Deuteronomy 28:2 declares that listening to God’s voice triggers blessings that pursue us. But how does this work in daily life? Let’s examine the cycle of giving and receiving.

The Cycle of Sowing and Reaping

Every act of giving is an expression of trust in God’s provision. Jesus taught, “Give, and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38). This isn’t just about money—it applies to time, kindness, forgiveness, and resources.

The Cost of Withholding:

Holding back closes the door to God’s supply. Scripture warns that stinginess limits our experience of divine goodness. Paul emphasized that God delights in joyful givers, suggesting that reluctant giving may block the full flow of favor (2 Corinthians 9:7).

The Rewards of Open Hands:

Deuteronomy 28:2 promises that obedience releases blessings that chase us down—in our finances, relationships, health, and purpose. Generosity positions us under an open heaven.

The Heart Behind the Gift:

Attitude matters as much as the act. God celebrates joyful generosity. Giving out of duty or resentment diminishes the spiritual return.

Obedience as the Foundation:

True generosity flows from surrender. When we align our actions—including our giving—with God’s instructions, we activate His promises.

HOW GIVING FUELS INCREASE

Malachi 3:10 invites us to test God with our tithes: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Generosity is woven into God’s design for blessing. When we release what we have, we make room for what He wants to give. Let’s embrace open-handed living, trusting that every seed sown in faith will yield a harvest of favor.
